We Do Not Raise Our Children
We do not raise our children.
By God! Our children raise us.
We try to teach them right from rong,
But all we want to do is cus!
They are wonderful in their innocence,
But it doesn't last very long at all.
We give them what ever we can,
And they won't even answer when we call.
I'm sure it's what we did to our parents;
The noise, the mess, the icebox raid.
Still it couldn't have been half this bad,
But Mom says, "It's about time you were paid".
Still again, from our kids we understand...
We understand why we go to war.
It's to set the example that has been set for us...
Why do we let it get this far?
