A CHILD'S SAFETY PRAYER

Dear God, way up in heaven above,
please help my parents show me love.
I want to have them really care,
and keep me safe when we go somewhere.

Don't let them leave me loose within the car,
whether for a short trip or one that's far.
They think by holding me with their arm,
that they can protect me from any harm.

They can show me love by buckling me in,
and doing it over and over again.
That way if we were to have a crash,
I wouldn't be slammed into the dash.

If I'm real young I need a safety seat,
that will the safety standards meet.
Make sure they know an airbag could deploy,
and take the life of their girl or boy.

Mom & dad keep me safe, use your head,
I'm way too young to end up dead.
Show me your love is really true,
by buckling yourselves in too.
