When I am gone

Will I be remembered

And for what purpose?

For what purpose can there be

And to what end

To dwell in the past?

I tell you

The past is all we have

But it is only memory

And memory is subjective —malleable

Now is where we are

The future does not exist

We cannot go there

For once we are there

It is now

This is all there is

And then

And then is now gone

Now is where we must live

Now is all we may grasp

There is no control

But there is choice

The choice of now

Choose to live now

But do not revere the past

Live now
