The Fire. Inside?
The forest is set aflame
The trees burst into fire
No one is to blame
So now the trees are martyrs
They give their life up in flame
So that others may be born
A single seed drifts to the ground
Lonely and forelorn
It is summer now
The seed has had time to germinate
The spring waters have nourished it
Now is its time to awake
As the roots grow deep
They spread out in all directions
Under the ground they creep
Searching for connection
The trunk pushes above the soil
At first weak and frail
Soon it will be big and strong
To withstand any gale
Its branches grow thick and strong
Its leaves spring green
People can look upon it now
And are at peace and feel serene
Many years it took for this tree to fully grow
In this blackened land
It describes the love growing in my soul
Hoping for your hand
My love for you is the saporling
Growing every day
Put on hold temporarily, perhaps indefinetly
But never going away
Destiny will take its course
And time will do it's thing
May the sun shine down upon your fate
May your life be always in the Spring
Bonnie, thank you for coming to an understanding with me.
